I took the kids for a walk on 94th Street a few days after the Bluemound bridge was closed. Unfortunately, my worst fears were realized: even at 7:00pm, 94th Street seems more like a freeway than a side street with houses and families. Two out of the five cars that went by were going roughly double the speed limit. Sure, they were angry, frustrated, and maybe even lost, but they were also putting my kids in danger through their aggressive driving. I yelled, “Slow down!” at both vehicles to no avail. I understand your frustration and want to suggest you attend the meeting with Michael Murphy coming up, and make sure you are in constant contact with elected officials, the police department, and your neighbors at http://interchange.mcnewsy.com/ .
